Location, location, location!! :-) Next to the Plaza Mayor (but not so easy to find!, Bring a map of the area). Staff is really helpful, available 24/7. We had a quiet room in the backyard. I think this is better during weekends, since the front part has lots of bars and can be noisy. There are some 20 steps to get to the lobby, then lift to rooms. We left the luggage after check-out. Staff is really really nice :-)). Rooms is what you expect from a clean nice hostel.

The rooms was very well furnished and had so much character we wish we could have stayed longer to enjoy it! Our own balcony looking out to the church! The location is excellent and I would certainly recommend staying here to friends. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The location was very centrally located with easy access to the older areas of the city. The only challenge is that Salamanca, like other cities visited, (Segovia, León) has a "Pedestrian Only" policy that causes great difficulties for families traveling by car. The cost of Parking is also quite high. Excellent location for exploring Salamanca. Within steps of the Plaza Mayor and within a short walking distance of the cathedral and Roman bridge as well as restaurants and tapas bars. The staff was very accommodating and friendly and the rooms were clean and comfortable. We would definitely stay there again. The location is great, just off the Plaza Mayor. Oscar was very helpful. I requested a quiet room, and they gave me a room facing the interior courtyard, which was perfect. After check-out, they even let me keep my backpack in a storage room so I could explore Salamanca a bit more. Location was just off the Plaza and central to everything. Oscar went above and beyond...helpful, caring and always a smile. Room was clean and we selected a 3rd floor balcony. Parking was close and underground but make certain you reserve with the hotel in advance. It is an excellent place to stay. It was clean and the staff was very helpful and friendly. We had a bedroom at the back, no very much of a view, however it did work well as we had very quiet nights, Very central and good value for money. Everything was wonderful the hostel was in a perfect location and the staff were unbelievably friendly and helpful. The rooms were comfortable and was great value for money, also the position was perfect for all the sights of Salamanca. Very trusting staff who gave us a refund when we hadn't realised we were overcharged and who returned to us, when we collected our cases, an item we hadn't realised we'd left in the room. Also a fantastic central location. the location was ideal and the room just right for the price we paid. Staff was very nice although they spoke Spanish and we English so we had a lot of gesturing so we could understand each other. Excellent location, not on Plaza Mayor itself, but right next door. Staff very helpful. superb location. perfect location, just at the door of Plaza mayor, steps away from all the interest sites. Friendly and helpful staff. Even the room is small, but it's very clean, and functional -- good value for budget travel. For driving it is essential you talk to them in advance about how to get to the hotel. There is a special route oh must follow if you want to beat the dreaded one way system, which initially beat us and added 30mins into our arrival time. The parking is tight and not for the inexperienced! There was no aircon in our room which meant we had the windows open. This wouldn't have been a problem if it weren't for the drunk groups that passed by the main square late at night. Nothing other than the comments already stated regarding the "Pedestrian Only" zones and Public Parking. Please note that this is not a reflection on the services provided at this location. Party noise was loud and without a lull until 5-6 am. No coffee available. We were offered a patio view and should have said yes. There was nothing we didn't like the only thing we would have liked is tea and coffee making facilities and then everything would have been perfect. The shower was a bit cramped. We would have liked to have had access to some tea or coffee, possibly out in the lounge near the desk. Doesn't look like much from the outside, but enter, climb a flight of stairs and you are in the hotel itself, which is fine. Absolutely nothing. Can be a bit noisy when people talk and walk around the building, as I was staying on the first floor, but it´s acceptable. Nada. Quite small showers. nothing. Shower was very small. Hard to use. We had a car and found it difficult to find with the pedestrian only streets. Staff did help get us go the garage which was great. Very dificult to find. Room smelled of smoke. Very difficult to locate the hotel. the reception is actually at 2nd floor, no elevator -- it might be a concern for travelers with big suitcases.
