Just got back and everything about this place is as good as earlier reviews say it is. I was tempted not to add comments so I could keep this gem to myself. The staff are excellent: professional and competent whilst also friendly and good humoured. The Hotel Illa d'Or has a magnificent setting, with wonderful views both of sea and mountains; and located in a quiet spot towards the end of the Pine Walk, which makes a lovely short promenade to the centre. Lovely clean hotel with helpfull staff, breakfast was great especially squeezing your own orange juice. Had a room facing the mountains, although not sea view the mountain view was great, really refreshing. The balcony was large so drinks in the evening was relaxing. Staff were great and very accommadating booking restaurants etc specially for the surrounding areas.
One street away from the beach and in a fairly quiet location.

Extremely good service from all of the staff. We arrived late in the evening, the restaurant was closed, but they had arranged for us to have a cold meal in the restaurant! We had half-board; the food was really good, fresh and with good variation.

Just about everything! The excellent and friendly staff has to be mentioned. Lovely garden and views. Great pool, big and deep. The private cove, Muleta, is really lovely with clear, salty, soft water and friendly people and good food at the bar. (The 20 minute bus ride to the cove is not a problem, don't miss it!)

The staff is very friendly and you really have the feeling that they are there to take care of you. The hotel is a very good and the rooms are great.
