  When I first arrived I didn’t like the look of it because I thought I was in the middle of nowhere. But it is just a short walk from a great beach. And a 10 minute drive away from a massive beach. O’Grove was especially nice and the fish is to die for. The island of Toxa is worth a visit and you can go into the posh old Hotel for a coffee.

Small, family-run - e.g. very helpful with offering me a lift back up the hill (land slopes steeply down to the lake). Lovely dog! Good food. Super comfortable bed with lovely linen in characterful old building (original timber rafters etc.), remodelled sensitively.
