O Remanso dos Patos is a little gem of a hotel, situated in the truly beautiful Ribeira Sacra region. The hotel is full of character, and the restaurant is a delight. There is a lovely little swimming pool which is ideal for cooling off after a day's sightseeing- especially welcome as we arrived during a heat wave! Natasha, Antony and the rest of their staff were very kind and helpful.

The location of the hotel was very good, very close to the old market, Plaza de Abastos and to the historic centre of Santiago. The staff were all very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was all home grown and amazing. The rooms were full of character, clean and comfortable bed. The pool was relaxing. Very close to a top class village and restaurant. -

When I first arrived I didn’t like the look of it because I thought I was in the middle of nowhere. But it is just a short walk from a great beach. And a 10 minute drive away from a massive beach. O’Grove was especially nice and the fish is to die for. The island of Toxa is worth a visit and you can go into the posh old Hotel for a coffee.
