  The reception staff is great and welcoming, however no bell boy, no welcome drink, unlike many other 4 star hotels. The rooms good sized, clean good sized bathrooms, beds comfy enough, however empty mini freezer, no tea making facility or even empty glasses or water in the room. The pool area was fantastic, with a free kids club which was great for our daughter, and gave us some quality 'us' time, which was most welcome.   The hotel has a very helpful and friendly staff. Nothing was too much trouble (a special thank-you to Franklin). Located just out of town on a hillside. Authentic Mediterranean experience, with the sound of cicadas (I also saw a few geckos clinging to the walls in the evening). The staff were friendly, helpful and very accommodating. The verandah to the lovely lounge/bar compliments the ambiance. The rooms are lovely with private garden/patios. A joy to stay there, and would love to return when the other facilities have been completed.

  We booked three apartments for a group of friends. The Apartments are absolutely huge, the photos on the website do them no justice they are amazing. The location is so good, right on teh beach and right on the port. No waiting around for taxis which gave us much more time to enjoy our stay.   Kristin and Diego were fantastic and VERY cool hosts. The location was right on point very near to the Old Town and main roads but we felt like we could be anywhere in the world. It was so peaceful and secluded thanks to all the wonderful vegetation which grows all around the villa and makes it almost feel like a secret oasis. The homemade breakfast wa - We loved everything about the Jardines De La Reina--Kirsten and Diego have created a magical place! We were able to relax at the pool and enjoy their little paradise, and then venture out to explore the area--especially the beach and the mountain area (on a drive to Ronda). There are a number of good restaurants nearby. Our room was very comfortable and the breakfasts were excellent. An important factor for me was that Kirsten is extremely knowledgeable about celiac disease (which I have),
