  Very quiet room. Great value for money. Good design. A small suite with separate bedroom for 100$ per day! Easy access to metro line 4 (Bogatell) or Line 1 (Marina). Not far from the beaches. Mar Bella is only two stops (Poblenou) and a 10 minute walk. Direct by metro to old Barcelona in only a few stops (Jaume I).   My wife and i thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Colon hotel and would recomend this hotel as an excellent central location to explore Barcelona. You are right in the centre but yet in a very quiet peacful location just off La Rambla ideal for all restaurants, the bus tours etc which are a must for anybody visiting the city. The hotel itself is beautiful and kept up. Our room was lovely with a terrace overlooking the Cathedral. Staff was very accommodating and recommended excellent restaurants.   The vibe of the foyer area was like a cool nightclub in the evenings with dark mood lighting - very trendy. To say there was clubbing music streamed in the foyer which you could hear on all levels of walk-way, the bedrooms were sound-proofed really well. The upstairs bar has amazing views.   We loved our stay at this Hotel Palace! Perfect, professional and very polite and helping staff. We had a wonderful room with a balcony and good view (standard). It was perfect, spotlessly clean, light, not noisy. They cleaned the room several times a day. We gave our passport copies, our credit cards and all info, but when we came back at 5 pm from sightseeing,our bags were still not brought to our rooms. We were 3 couples and were exhausted. They said they needed another signature before they could put the bags in the rooms. It was ridiculous since we
