  I booked a double room for 40 euros; I think this rate is impossible to beat, in any kind of hotel in Barcelona (and even hostels). Best choice, a real four stars hotel with an unbeatable price. Ok, it’s not located in central Barcelona but with the subway you put yourself in the Ramblas in 15 min.   We liked almost everything at the hotel. Its location couldn't be better, right behind the metro exit and you can watch Sagrada Familia at breakfast time or whenever ou go up the terrace. Receptionists and waiters, everybody was very helpful. Room was very large and clean and modern. Hotel is very new with a minimalist design. I requested a specific type of room at the time of reservation and they remembered - The staff. They went out of our way to fix any issues with the room, answer our many questions, mail our postcards, tell us about the culture of the city, etc. They packed a breakfast bag for my wife and I in the early morning when we left since we could not stay for breakfast. We were still talking about how friendly the staff was when we got home. This is the best customer service we've had amongst all the places we've visited in the mediterranean.
