  Location is literally right around the corner from gothic quarters, 5 minutes from Picasso Musuem, 8 minutes from Plaza Catalunya. It was safe and clean.   We had some problem the first night: they booked a room for us in another hotel 'cause we were in sort of overbooking. But from the second day the stay was great. To apologize they leave us one of the best room (and for a day more), give us breakfast for free (at the bar nearby) and discount part of the ammount.   Location is excellent: the center of old city. You need less than 5 minutes to go to Rambla (with metro station), port, Catalunia square. Appartments were clean (we took two bedroom appartments), kitchen had everything that we need. It's small, but large terrace has table that we used for our meals.   A shared kitchen allowed cooking own meals, staff spoke perfect english and was very helpful - they even made some calls to solve a problem that happened to us while visiting another hotel.   Location of the hostel is the best possible in Barcelona. Couple of steps and you are in the center of Gothic quater, couple of stations in the tube and you are at the clean sea beach. Staff is very friendly. Security man met us in the night (our flight was delayed for 3 hours) near the hostel porch, made check in and followed us to the appartment... mitä ihmiset sanovat » . - Family apartment is in another building than hostel by itself. The place is in the very center of Barcelona, next to Ajuntament de Barcelona (the City Council), near Cathedral de Barcelona, so only couple minutes to La Ramblas street or Barceloneta.

  The Guys at the hostel were extremely friendly and helpful! We received a key to both the room and the front door, which made it easy for us to come and go as we pleased. The rooms are situated right in the middle of everything, close to both the harbour, La Rambla and right inside of the Gothic city. The hospitality and friendliness of the staff was worth a 5 star hotel, and even thoug - This was an awesome stay! The staff really care about what you're up to each day and that you're enjoying the city. In fact after I arrived and dropped off my bags and the gentleman working came running out and said 'where are you going today!' And he helped orientate me to the city awesome!!. The kitchen good facilities good internet cleans area shower and bath, thanks for your help when i lost my bags!!

  You get what you pay for in a hostel,rooms were clean but a bit grubby! Staff very helpfull...... Right in the heart of the city,couldn't ask for more!! - Staff were amazingly friendly and very helpful both during the day and night throughout our 5 night stay.

  Pensio 2000 was a real find. Help yourself tea/coffee/cakes and water, all gratis. Even had lovely white dressing gowns provided. An international crossroad location with great mix of people too! No parking or lift but worth the effort. Great value for money but shame it rained! - Location of the hotel is excellent. Close to a metro station and in the middle of Las Ramblas and El Borne. In winter, el borne is a better place to be close rather than since la rambla. The staff has made really nice improvements and facilities in the hotel, that's nice. But some of the stuff like towels and sheets are really too old.

Hostel was clean and situation perfect, not in a bad area at all. You can watch the police men walk under your balcony in a quite busy street :) I will definitely stay here also the next time I´m in Barcelona!
