  We arrived after reception had closed but found the instructions, received by email ,very easy to follow so had no problem entering the apartment. A short walk gets you to the nearest metro station which is Urgell and from there - The reception staff were exceptional in their help and efficiency. Overall the cleanliness and functionality of the apartment was the best I have stayed in to date in Barcelona (and I have stayed in approximately 8 other apartments in the city). Location wise this was perfect, not noisy and convenient for many of the attractions if that is what people require.   Location was fantastic, read alot of poor reviews before visiting Sant Carlo but it was perfectly fine. My partner and I had a double room with our own bathroom. Wasn't huge but had shower, sink and loo. Flat screen TV on wall, stand up fan provided.
