  The hotel location was excellent. Also it was in an historic building with all the facilities of a modern hotel. The hotel staff were very friendly and the atmosphere at the hotel was very relaxed. - an excelent (and much cheaper) alternative for the parador. Restaurant is very high quality.   Extra long bathtub (I'm tall), excellent sheets and pillows, towel warmer (great for drying damp clothes), and location (close enough to walk to the cathedral and the lively street next to the Pilgrim Office) in the central old part). Bird on ledge next to bathroom was a great touch! Bathroom has a warm, aesthetic feel. Overlooks main entry way for pilgrims on Camino de Santiago. Decent breakfast offered. Friendly staff--speak Spanish and French, some English.
