  The hotel was very clean and the staff friendly. We went for a delux room on a special offer they had that included breakfast. The breakfast was available till 11.00am and had pleanty to offer every taste and requirement. The hotel Spa was really good although you do have to wear a swimming hat in the pool.   We stayed for 2 nights on our arrival to Madrid (into Atocha Station, which is about a 10 minute walk straight down Calle Atocha); the young, ultra-helpful staff was a pleasure to deal with - they are sharp people and we found no shortage of good English among them. We had a simp - I rarely give top marks on the grounds there should always be room for some improvement but I'm struggling to find any fault with the Catalonia Atocha. Within half an hour of booking I received a "welcome" email from the hotel with detailed and useful information on how to find the hotel whatever the mode of transport, I’ve never had this before from an hotel, it boded well and I was not disappointed. Without exception the staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful, and equally happy to speak

  Excellent location close to Atocha station, walking distance to the three big museums (and the city center, if you like a bit of a hike), supermarket at the corner. The hotel is on a quiet side street; there was absolutely no street noise. Nicely designed, well equipped for a longer stay with dishwasher, washing machine and kitchen (we were there ... mitä ihmiset sanovat » for only one night so didn't use). - Great concept, amazing apartment. Upside independence, downside, no livebeing could assist us, very frustrating experince. However the next day the staff apologized and gave us a voucher for parking, which helped.
