  The DaVinci is rated as a 5-star, and mostly lives up to that rating. The staff (especially), rooms, and amenities are excellent. Proximity to the Sandton Center Mall is a real plus. The food, while very good, is perhaps not outstanding. Breakfast, which was included in the room rate was good.   I very much enjoyed the professionalism of staff, the nothing is too much trouble attitude was found from check in through the whole experience. I appreciated the quality of food (breakfast menu was first rate). The Room Service was attentive and courteous at all times. The staff at the hotel were truly exceptional. I quite liked the chambermaid checking in the evening to turn the beddings, drop off a box chocolate and ask if you have additional needs such as additional bottles of water.   The hotel is located opposite nelson mandela sqaure (michangelo towers) and therefore you have a lot of eating option and shopping options in the mall.breakfast at the hotel is a good spread so nothing to complain about. The area sandton is very safe and is a good part of the city. Overall the hotel is good and it was a very pleasent stay. - The rooms were very comfortable and well sized. The bed was extremely comfortable. The location is perfect, right opposite the Sandton City Mall/Nelson Mandela Square and less than five minutes walk from the Gautrain Station. Very nice hotel. Will definitely come back and highly recommended.
