  Our stay was so good at this hotel that we initially thought we'd made a mistake with the booking and ordered a superior room instead! We booked the room as a double room and it was actually a spacious apartment with two double rooms and an additional large open plan kitchen/living room and bathroom. The room/apartment was very comfortable, clean and warm, with some lovely finishing touches that helped make the stay extr - This is one of the most beautiful hotels I have ever visited: set in a 16th century old palace, it has all the comforts of our modern world too. Without asking for it, I was upgraded, at no additional charge, to an extravagantly large suite, as lovely decorated as the common areas of the hotel. Check out was ay noon, perfect if you are leaving in the afternoon.
