I thought that Macek Rooms was perfect for my first trip to lovely
Ljubljana. I was a bit nervous when I saw that most of the rooms are
directly above the busy cafe, but the sound isolation was pretty good.
There was a lively atmosphere outside and I appreciated the buzz of the

Room was great size, lots of room to spill out of our suitcases. Fabulous location and great vibe, lots of people enjoying the sunshine and warmth. Free wi-fi and use of the Lonely Planet Slovenia book for our stay. Breakfast was great. Loved the coffee mugs and having breakfast in the cafe downstairs, all part of the experience. Fab restaurant across the alley way as well

This hotel is located in the old town and in walking distance of most
attractions. Hotel and Rooms where done out in old style furniture which
was great. Staff were excellent, went out of the way all the time to
much sure you are happy and Reception staff wear casual clothes which
makes you more relax when checking in. Room was very clean, quiet and
comfortable. Breakfast was typical European which was good and I have
never seen before so much cleaning being done every day at a small

This hotel is a little jewel in the old town of Ljubliana, perfect location right at the bottom of the castle, just 5 minutes walking distance from the river and the Cathedral.

the staff is very welcoming and helpful. the rooms are very clean and rather big. the hotel itself is in the center of the pedestrian zone which means on one hand to get there you need to park the car and go by foot (7-10min), but on the other hand it's very close to the center of the city and to the river. there is free good signal wifi in the rooms.

This is one of the best hostels I ever stayed in. Been staying there when I go to Ljubljana for almost 7 years now and they never disappointed. And as a new feature, they have heated bathroom floors in some of the new rooms so... hope they keep up the good work. Highly recommended. -

They go way out of their way to make the stay pleasant and arranging things outside the hotel easy.

Great location, very close to the center of the old city.
This time I had a normal double room, which is already quite spacious and as comfortable as the junior suite I had before (which is even bigger and surprises with a huge, round bed).
Minibar is free of charge in all rooms:-).
Great and polite staff, natural instead of artificial, always having good ideas, and real experts of German football:-).
