This hostel is located in the centre of Velikiy Novgorod, a 15-minute walk from the Kremlin. Free Wi-Fi and TV. The bright dormitory rooms are decorated in warm colours and include a TV. The shared bathrooms are in the hallway. Guests can cook their meals in the shared fully equipped kitchen, complete with a dining area. A variety of cafés and restaurants can be found within a 10-minute walk from the hostel. The Alekseevskaya Tower is a 5-minute walk from the hostel. A bus stop, providing connection around the town, is 300 metres from Home Hostel. Velikiy Novgorod Train Station is 2.5 km away.

- Nice location in quiet residential area just 10mn by foot from Kremlin and historical center of Novgorod and also very close to Vitoslavlitsy museum and Yuriev monastery (bus No. 7 stop is some 200m away) - There are no good places to eat out directly near the hostel though you will find local food market (which is obviously a place jto see local life and buy artisanal produce - better on weekends) some blocks away and you can use owner's kitchen by her permission. - Warm and professional wel.
kaikki arvostelut » Friendly and relaxed. No 7 bus great link to monastery and Vitoslavitsly wooden museum (cost 16 rubles,). I hired a bike from owners as I was there 3 nights. Great way to sightsee in the town. Info booth in city fabulous, free map. Happily used kitchen for dinners. Young guys looking after the hostel super friendly and helpful. Definately highly recommend for back packer market. 2 cats in residence when I was there.Would stay again. Very affordable. Good for a stay in Novgorod. Not too far from the city center (ten minute walk). The owner was very nice and accommodating. The facilities were clean and comfortable. Good stay for the money. Would stay here again. The experience is more of that staying at someone's home rather than staying at hostel. Staff is welcoming, the location is within walking distance from the centre and it is cheap too. True Russian spirit, very cosy atmosphere with warm wooden floors, cats and apples from the garden:). Nice friendly owner, Good bed and Sheets. Not far from the centre. Невысокая цена, радушная и общительная хозяйка, наличие wifi и возможность въезда в практически любое время суток, велосипеды напрокат. Location was short walk to Kremlin. Family were pleasant and helpful. Really none as long as you know what you get for the money. One thing: the owner has several cats so if you have any problems with cats, take this into consideration. Some of the facilities are a bit run down and it could be cleaner too. Overall I'm afraid it lacks a bit of professionalism throughout: massive (though very friendly) dog right at the entrance, no real reception, I was given a bed in 6 bed dorm rather than 4 bed one I booked (it was empty anyway so I never complained, but anyway). Those are all little and not very important bits, but a more professional approach would do. Hard to find. I speak no Russia. Хостел неудобно и неочевидно расположен, кусачие комары (в мае), не очень чисто в доме. No keys to rooms or locks on doors and No lockers to secure or store pers valuables. The kitchen is the families own and so you have to fit in around them and their meals. More expensive than similar place in St Petersburg.
