  We've spent about 8 weeks in St. Petersburg over the past 5 years as students, and our dorms were located in old Soviet apartment blocks; so this hotel was a welcomed change for our short visit back to Peter!! The hotel was very clean, which surprised me as most of St. Petersburg is on the dirtier side. I thought that aspect of the visit was excel... mitä ihmiset sanovat » lent. It also appeared that the rooms had been recently refurbished, with laminate wood flooring, an updated bathroom, and nice furnishings and wardro - A very correct hotel, with extremely large bar/ dining room complex and a pub open late. Excellent food in that pub (which is a rare thing to find in that town). Excellent coffee, and plenty of space to comfortably read a paper. Location is excellent - not right at the center with all its tourist traps but a little kickback at calm Vasilevsky Island. A very good place on the whole although on the expensive side.

  Our apartment was on Malaya Morskaya Street, 16, it was very clean and had all the house things you need, from bedsheets towels soups shampo, all kitchen needs, the internetnet was free of charge and very good connection, the location is 5 min walk to the hermitage and other tourist areas which was great.   The staff was very helpful. They spoke very good English and were able to help me with translation issues and directions. I had a room on the street side, which I was pleasantly surprised did not have much noise. The room was comfortable and clean. There were a couple of English speaking channels on the TV. I will stay at this hotel on my next visit. - I really appreciated the outstanding service that that the staff offered to us. While there, I had my passport stolen by a pickpocket on a bus and Svetlana, a staff member, took us to the police station and assisted us by acting as a translator. While enroute to the station, she gave us a running commnentary on the sights in St. Petersburg. The food in the two hotel resturants were excellent, but the one called Marius had more choices.

  I appreciate my quite neighborhood very much. As soon as the hotel is designed for families and mature couples we were spared of noise and any violence.   Traditional hotel from old times but well modernized and maintained. Fairly comparable with western business hotels. Good location next to underground station. We were given a junior suite by price of standard twin due to booking situation and arrival at 19:30 so can't review normal room but suite was excellent.   The location is nice and the rooms are big and always clean. They really do look like in the picture. Bathrooms were also clean. Beds were made. Wireless available, very high speed (we had the room next to the reception). All in all, I would stay there again.
