DOM Hostel was the perfect place to us to stay! We have been cyclying around Russia this summer and the girls managing the Hostel already helped us with the logistics, ie. we spent the first night in DOM Hostel when arriving to Moscow and they kept our bike box in the Hostel until we arrived back two weeks later, they always helped us with questions about train tables, we used they tourist guide books available for anyone, etc, etc and they even wake up at 4am at night during our last night to . kaikki arvostelut »
The staff is very friendly and helpful. They all speak English and are
willing to help (E.G. make phone calls to arrange problems with luggage,
make cheaper taxi reservations, print boarding passes for return flight,
...) Very clean rooms and bathrooms. Close to metro station with good
connections to Red square, Kremlin, ... Free wifi. (Basic) breakfast
included. Good value for money in Moscow!.
It was a lovely hostel and the girls that 'run' the hotel were fantastic !
So helpfull and friendly. We had a great stay in Moskou and a part of that was because of the lovely and happy atmosphere we feld in the hostel. I will definitly book here again, on a next trip to Moskou.
Perfect staff )) Clean room, breakfast - everything was perfect,
they also returned me money for 1 night, because i was reluctant to leave erlier )).
It`s very cute, cozy an friendly place then you can feel at home when you will always meet friends.I advice everyone to visit this place!.
We could have 2 bikes for free, fresh bread and cereals for breakfast, location is 5min from MRT and 25min from red square walking.
Small hostel with Friendly Staff.
Located 10mins from Metro Station. 7x24 Convienece Store nearby With Large Shopping Mall Around.
Very helpful and english-speaking staff.
Good location near to the central metro lines
Great decoration, very clean and neat.
Very clean, near the center, cossy, staff with good knowledge of English and helpful, good deal for the money paid.
The location, it is a few minutes away from a MTR station, and 2 stops away from Kremlin.
Generally a basic hostel at convenient location. The staff are friendly and helpful.
To have everything I need for comfort stay in a such busy city as Moscow is.
Very cosy inside, good design.
Hotel dom was okay it was only the fact that it is not a 15 min walk to
the center. It is actually very far. From hotel dom to the
center/red square is a 40 minute walk.
Another thing is that the hostel is hidden. You have to walk through ice and a little passage to get to the hotel what it is very uncomfortable!!! We took a cab from the train station and the cab driver couldnt find it!!!!
We didnt have hot water in two times. They said we needed to shower in the morning or in the evening.
I w.
Friendly atmosphere.
There are only two showers for 8 rooms. The rooms are very clean, but
without washbowl.
The only thing -and we were warned by earlier reviews- was that we couldn't find it that easily, but the rest of our stay maked more than up for that ! :-).
Not easy to find, when you are going to find it for the first time.
Beds were not too comfortable as it made ugly noise everytime you turn around. We ran out of bread once and there was no replenishment. The bikes needed to be serviced before we could use them. I took them to a workshop on my own expense and now they should be well in order.
Toilet is Rather small as a shared bathroom Facilities. Little bit difficult to find the Dom For 1st visit. No map is provided By Hostel.
The entrance does not have signs AT ALL.
Breakfast could be somewhat, better (though there is freshly baked bread each morning and excellent coffee), room no 1 was next to the kitchen and was rather noisy until late at night. Also the staff was sometimes more noisy (talking, laughing until very late at night) than the guests.
It is very difficult to find, especially when you arrive at the city in the evening. Moscow is not the friendliest city in the world, and it is unnerving to try to find a rather obscure hostel in the dark.
Lack of navigation - it was almost impossible to find the way to the hostel even thouth it is situated really not far from underground station and a big street. They should think about putting several pointers which would show the direction from Zemlyanoy Val to the hostel.
Very hard to find. Signs on Podsosenskom pereulke would be very useful.
Did not understand was there a breakfast and what is included.
too small rooms.
Noise from the bathrooms since I was in room 7 in front of common bathrooms.
