I booked a regular double with patio view but was upgraded to 2-level room with the Moika channel view (cannot thank the hotel staff enough for that!). It's nice that you can get in through back yard getting feel of old city. I had a solo room for 4 nights and enjoyed a million dollar view of the onion domes of the Church on Spilled Blood. At 2 A.M. I could peek out the room-darkening curtains and find the domes softly lit against the pale twilight. I could walk to many tourist spots, especially the Church of the Savior on Blood is 2-3 mins on foot from the hotel.

  I've been there the second time. This time I stayed on the ground floor not too far from reception. Nevertheless we had two seperate beds we could make them closely. The room was much better than it had been on the third floor before. I liked a girl from the hall bar, she was pretty, positive and attentive excepting another girl from reception.
