  The Anchikov has only a few rooms and the staff really treat all of their guests like a kings and queens. From the minute I arrived to the minute I left the staff did everything to make my stay a pleasurable one. St Petersburg is such a wonderful city and the staff at Anichkov certainly contribute to make everyone's - The staff were superb and always on hand to help.   The staff was very polite and understanding. The room was very clean with a maid coming in every day. The location is right next to Nevsky Prospect (1 minute walk). Tip: entrance is from Karavannaya street, after passing the entrance to the backyard you will see a glass sign with golden letters saying "Polikoff Hotel", come in and ring apt. 28 (if... mitä ihmiset sanovat » I'm not mistaken). Breakfast was OK. The room was quite (you don't hear the street from the room). - Excellent position in the middle of the city. Windows are faced to backyard, no noise at all though Nevsky prospect is about 10m away.everyday room cleaning. Polite and obliging personal. Very good solution for business trips when only sleeping in the hotel...

  Without a doubt the best thing about this hotel is the location - it is situated right in the historic centre of St. Petersburg, all sights are very close - I managed to visit a lot in a very short time and didn't even have to use Russian public transport (which leaves a lot to be desired!!).
