A charming place run by a very kind lady who could not do more. It is in the old citadel and is extremely clean and comfortable. Breakfast was huge, very fresh, delicious and served in a courtyard filled with healthy potted colourful plants and a rose garden alongside. A magical setting made even better by a very generous supply of fresh coffee.The view from our window was also a treat. Wifi worked well in the old building. The rooms are all very modern and clean. We had a fairly large double room, with a comfortable bathroom. The house is right in the center of the citadel, just up the street from the central square. It was still very quiet though. The owner made a lovely breakfast for us each morning and often included nice little touches like a bowl of fresh strawberries. We very much enjoyed staying here.
Quite frankly a big, pleasant surprise! With so few reviews, I was a bit nervous. Turned out to be a gem! Great location, right next to covered stairs. Spacious, clean, comfortable rooms. A lovely, inviting garden/patio. Owners didn't speak English but not a problem. Breakfast served at out time... big, individual servings.
Warm water, very quiet, comfortable bed, rooms looked very good, very clean, friendly innkeepers, can pay with credit card, breakfast available on demand, quite a variety of interesting tv channels, beautiful orchids in the house, beautiful front garden with a terrace where you can have breakfast.
The pension is very well located in the heart of the citadelle. The room was very clean and respected all the conditions mentioned in the description.
The location is fabulous right in the Citadel. The rooms are a fresh change from many other small hotels: the furniture is all wooden yet simple.

Quiet, clean and very close to the main square of the old citadel.
It was hot so a pedestal fan would be of benefit in the attic room we had.
Not really a dislike but Car parking was down the hill out of the old town, and out of site but monitored by electronic surveillance. A bit challenging to find, streets cobbled and narrow which is to be expected really.
Despite having a large room, it was on the upper floor, so we did have to duck around the slanted ceiling and ceiling beams, but it was a minor thing. The owners speak very limited English, but we managed and they were very sweet and helpful, though I wish I could have asked them more questions.
Parking off site. The pension has spaces in front but not available for our use while the neighboring pension allowed visitors to park in front.
Not much to not like, but if something must be said: trash can very hard to open, no heating in the bathroom, there was a venting system that turned on whenever you turned the lights on and was quite noisy, barely any space to put your stuff in rhe bathroom and no teethbrush holder, white lights in the room but you have yellow lights near the bed.
Some rooms are different sizes even if within the same category. Both I amd my friends booked double bed rooms yet theirs was considerably smaller and their bed was narrower too.
No choice for breakfast - a huge plate of meat, cheese, 2 eggs,fried bacon, tomatoes & cucumber served whether you wanted it or not.
Can't think of anything. :-).
