Overlooking the Luster Fjord and Feigum Waterfall, this waterfront B&B is 30 minutes’ drive from Sogndal. It provides free Wi-Fi and a surrounding garden with outdoor seating and a playground. All rooms at Nes Gard have individual décor. Some feature fjord views, along with a private balcony or terrace. Guests can choose rooms with either private or shared bathroom facilities. Bicycles and row boats can be rented on site. Nes Gard’s restaurant serves a 3-course dinner with Norwegian specialities, on request. Staff can also arrange a shuttle service to Sogndal Airport and the Express Boat docks in Sogndal and Leikanger. Breheimen National Park is a 25-minute drive away, while Urnes Stave Church is 40 minutes away by car. Hiking is another common area activity.

This was one of the highlights of our Trip around Norway. Relaxed hospitality as it should be. Excellent local produce, no choice and yet the meal was enjoyed by all 12 dinner guests. Hikers are encouraged to make their packed lunch from the breakfast buffet. Beautiful bright and clean rooms in a charming set of farm buildings. Fiords, waterfalls and easy to find. What more could you ask. The Gentleman that runs this hotel deserves a great deal of credit. The rooms are modern comfortable and well maintained. The food we had was delicious and well presented. We asked for advice on hiking routes and he was very enthusiastic and informative. Our stay at Nes Gard was one of the highlights of our holiday.
