The staff were awesome they accommodated us to the best of their ability with helping out with storage of our bags, access to Internet and with getting around the city. They also helped us with transport to the airport with a special deal. They were also very friendly and always chatting to us which was great! Definitely would stay there again and would recommend to others!. Everything was perfect! I definitely recommend this place and I would recommend getting a room in the lodge. The lodge rooms are perfect but maybe I am just biased because the decor was my kind of thing. Location was perfect. The staff were so lovely and they had great smiles!.
kaikki arvostelut » The receptionist was so friendly and helpful. We were en route from the ferry to Christchurch and the place was so easy to find - just off the highway but quiet. We were upgraded free of charge as they had capacity. So our young adlt daughter had a room of her own. The lady staff member was so helpful and accommodating, she was very helpful at getting me the room I wanted and very patient with me. The friendliest and most helpful hotel staff member I have come across. Everything went really well. Thank you. Close to the city and restaurants. Parking places available but not enough due to located close to city. Free Wi-Fi in the home page but it was limited. If the limit should be reached we should get more for free was the answer. Liked everything that a young couple taking a weekend away together was accommodated for. Easy to find, car parking, walking distance to everywhere and good room. Would stay there again. And when my hat was left behind it was sent to my home address very obligingly and quickly. Right downtown, near Courtenay Place with all the restaurants and bustling life. Still it's like a motel, meaning you can park outside your room (if space is available). We liked the fact we could walk to most of the places we wished to visit and there were plenty of places to eat close by. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The shower was lovely and hot with good pressure. Kitchen facilities great, and I was able to cook my porridge in a saucepan. Lovely and warm with a good heater. It was conveniently located right downtown, near all the restaurants, and not far from the ferry terminal, and a good value for the location. Great living in the lodge behind the motel. Maybe have a few books available for guests on a bookshelf somewhere. Staff were very friendly and helpful with information for our overnight stay. Our room was lovely and quiet. Hotel is in the middle of the city. Easy access to all sight seeing places, night life and restaurants. Parking lot existing. One night stop over and a roof over your head. The location very good. Being close to the CBD. Nothing. The shower pressure in our room was a bit too much but everything else was great!. Some guests next door were very rowdy at late times in the night because they wanted to party out on the town. Also the walls in the lodge house were quite thin so you could hear people talking outside the room or you could hear people showering or closing their doors but it was not too hard to bear with. Nothing. The free wifi was limited to 50 MB per night, and stopped working around midnight. Difficult to connect to, low signal. I was wakened the first morning by the alarm on the radio, and it took me a few seconds to find out how to stop it. Quite a shock. Maybe a good idea to check the radio when a guest leaves, to make sure the alarm is not on. The parking situation there is not good at all. A couple of cars parked in the alley leading up to the parking area. Liked it all. Booking .com does not have the same penalty to pay for another motel when a double booking is made because of their programme bugs,. Would like a lounge area, but at what cost? . There was a broken, empty, soap dispenser in the shower cubicle. No soap was provided for use in the shower. I felt the cost of the room was expensive for the size of the room my daughter and I were allocated. All good. Noise from other guests can be heard very easily, doesn't help that guests take no notice of 'do not disturb' sign. 'Free WiFi' consisted of 50kb, hardly enough to download a few emails. This should be publicized online. Car parking not suited to working ute. Small rooms and rather dated. Veiw from room. nothing to dislike. Room was small and a little cramped, especially for a 4 night stay. Didn't match the photos. The picture on the website shows the apartments not the actual lodge rooms so this is a misleading. The room we stayed in was in the main building which was clean and tidy with all facilities, but could do with redecorating as it felt dark and dingy. I felt the doors and the locks to our room were not very substantial. The parking is limited to the area in front of the apartments and is accessed from the main road up a steep slope beside the lodge. We were lucky to get a parking space. Only had a basic room as were only there few hours before catching ferry to south island, so nothing serious but bathroom was very basic. room quite s will small will pick studio unit next time. Like other reviewers, we found the walls thin and allowed in too much noise. The accommodation was cramped, but that was my fault for booking the wrong type of room. We were in backpacker accomodation instead of middle-aged traveller accommodation!. Small room. We were placed in the hotel-area of this motel. Bit noisy. Reception person had not updated on online booking and there was an unseemly debate at the desk involving other parties who, in error ,had been promised the room.This was not a comfortable situation. Single beds, old and very uncomfortable. note that this was the lodge part of the complex. There are also motel rooms and villa rooms which are superior ,No Iron. Liquid soap for both shower and handbasin. Small CRT type TV. Space constraints Grubby Duvet cover Small kitchen, no lounge or common room...well if there is one it wasn't easy to find. tv was too small. Not enough sound proofing Needed a second trip to reception to get Wifi code.It should be supplied when you check in. Single room was very small, no working desk existing. Window did not fully close so the room was a bit cold. Not recommended for more than one night, poor room layout. Noice from late night revellers in other rooms unacceptable. I was in a single room like a monk cell So gloomy n tiny Horrible And just opposite the guest common kitchen. The staff were atrocious, one came into my room after I shouted three times to wait. The carpark is ridiculously tight - if you can even get a park. There was broken bottles in the driveway every night, I moved some myself because the staff never did, and I didn't want a puncture. Would not stay there again. The whole hotel was poor. there was a sign saying "please keep noise to a minimum in respect of other guests" which other guests did but the staff insisted on yelling down the hallway to each other in the early hours of the morning, including openly criticising other guests at high volume. this included vacuum cleaning the hallway at 8am. there was no bath soap and no shampoo. the room was tiny.
