It is very conveniently located near Manipouri to be able to catch the Doubtful Sound boats and in fact arranges and has discounts on the Doubtful Sound and Milford Sounds trips (for some but not all trips). The staff is exceptionally friendly, cheerful and helpful. One staff member even stayed late so we had time to consult our schedule to see if the overnight trip to Doubtful was feasible, canceled our second night booking with their site with a small fee ($17) as he really seemed more inte.
kaikki arvostelut » we rent and booked 2 bedrooms apt . we notified that we would be there 5 adults and 2 children. the rooms were as expected. 1 room with 3 single beds and another bed room with double bed. and they prepared the sofa bed in the living room to very comfy . i recommend this apartment to whom want to go holiday with family. dont worry they have all necesarry things to cook . laundry is also available ib other sidebof the apArtment. Beautifully located beside lake Te Anau, it's just a wonderful location. The place had a play ground and the location was perfect to travel to the other nearby attractions, lake Manapouri, doubtful sounds, milford sounds etc etc....the rooms were nice and cosy, just a wonderful stop over for our small family. Everything! It was probably the best value of any place I have ever stayed, anywhere, and I have travelled a lot! Everything was clean, the rooms are sparse but nice, and it was a great price. I loved it!. Our room was great! It was very spacious. And the views were wonderful. B/c we were travelling in the winter, we were given a free upgrade to a lake front room and it was beautiful. Staff were friendly. Supervisor helped move us to a unit overlooking the lake, after we found we had booked a unit without ensuite facilities. Ideal surroundings. We stayed in a private room (the motel part of the place) and it was big, nice and convenient. The wifi worked just fine for our 2 laptops and 2 mobiles. Everything about the 2 bedroom unit was really good. Great size, direct view of the lake, modern bathroom decor and facilities. Staff was very friendly, introduced the tour for Milford Sound to us, and showed us around Te Anau. Friendly helpful staff, and great location. An easy walk into town. Beautiful lakeside situation. Room was well appointed and comfortable, The location was wonderful, close to the lake and town. Quiet, pretty spot within walking area of the lake and town. Very clean Helpful staff. When I booked with letsbookhotel.com, the room was listed as a bungalow which I interpreted to mean that it would have a full kitchen or at least a sink and microwave with a convenient place to prepare even just sandwiches. There really is just a bar fridge with a toaster and kettle and no real space to put them as you make toast etc. The room was fine, just not what I expected. In the end, it was not a big deal as we only stayed the one night and the helpfulness of the staff was exceptional. nothing. Abolutely nothing - it was a wonderful place, especially for budget accomodation, and it was very clean. We purchased wi fi, but had trouble getting it to work in our room. We had to go to the common area room in order to get the internet to work well. It wasn't awful, but fairly inconvenient. The road being so close. Facilities especially the toilet is a bit aged. Shower in the bathroom was a shower head out of the wall with no enclosure of any kind. As a result the entire bathroom needed to be wiped down after even a quick shower with water only slightly turned on. The staff at the dest apparently didn't know this was the set up because when I asked if another room had an enclosure the young gentleman helping me told me that they were all the same and that there was a shower curtain to pull around. Nope, no shower curtain only open air. Nothing to dislike. Cabins are in rather old conditions. no shower curtain so the whole bathroom floor got wet. The showers had low pressure and changed from hot to cold. I didn't like having our unit serviced after two which happened most days. The bedrooms of the two-room apartment are quite small, not much room to move around if you keep your luggage on the floor. Some facilities were closed. We had booked and were disappointed to move into a very cold unit. Obviously the electric heaters were not turned on to warm the room prior to arrival - if they were they were on minimum heat. Not adequate for mid winter. The staff, we felt like we where a camper or backpacker, rather than a guest staying in one of the top rooms. Paying $230.00 per night you should get better front counter service.they need to remind themselves that there is plenty of motels in te anua offering the same quality rooms, they do have something special the views but just need to back up front counter service to reflect that. A bit further out of the main town than we would have liked. It wasn't that we didn't like, but perhaps in the future a washing machine and dryer could be added to the units. (1) No shower curtain [it was a floor shower base...water splash all over floor and toilet...messy] (2) Kitchen facilities supplied but silverware, cups and plates supplied for only 2 people. I realise "2 people max" but we had 2 guests for a meal...eating was awkward. Recommend eating utensils for 2 extra persons. Really thin walls betwen rooms, kitchen was lacking items like utensils and glasses. Long walk.
