  The hotel was very clean, inviting. It is right on the waterfront (but not a beach). The view from the room, the lounge and the dining room looks out over the water. It has a nice restaurant, and snacks and beverages available in the lounge all day. A cooler of infused water is available with glasses all day.   The position is perfect, and after the 2nd night we didn't hear the trains any more. We stayed in the new Harbourview Wing so we could get full water views. It's a new wing and is superb - the carpet is so bouncy you feel you're floating. Access to the Tauranga Club for drinks/meals is also fantastic.
