  The hotel is a small, really cozy town-house with lots of atmosphere. The rooms are a bit old but that just adds to the charm. The bathrooms are newly renovated and top quality. Great breakfast in a lovely room.   It is a wacky hotel decorated in the style known as 'shack chic'. It may not be to everyone's taste but we loved it. The beds are very comfortable which is the main thing. The food in the restaurant is eastern Mediterranean and North African, which we love. The staff were friendly and helpful and service was prompt.   The most warm welcome from any hotel owner ever! Our room was small but adequate. The beds comfortable and the toilet/shower clean. The breakfast was unbelievably good - to start(!) croissant with fresh strawberries and cream; then...pancakes with maple syrup, 6 kinds of bread, 3meat, four cheese, boiled egg and a luxurious bowl of fresh fruit. Our host was very accomodating and helpful - Owners very friendly and as we were the only ones staying over that night asked what time we wanted breakfast. The breakfast was lovely - warm croissants with bacon and cheese and boiled eggs, as well as the usual cerials and cold meats, cheese, bread etc.

  Room was very clean, just what we needed for a stop off before headed to our next destination in the morning. Bed was comfy, everything worked. No problems with noise. It was clean and new. Location was great, easy walking distance from everything, but still a quiet pleasant location. Plenty of interesting stuff right near the hotel, Escher museum, Mesdag panorama, the shopping area, cafes, eateries and art galleries... It's the best budget option we could find. No frills but the basics are good.
