Has every appliance one can think of, including modern coffee machine, drier, dishwasher, you name it. Very clean and quiet. Good location - 15 mins walk to city center, 5 mins to supermarket.   The Canal House is located in a great quiet spot in the centre of Amsterdam. We could walk everything and the view over the canal was amazing!! The apartment was clean, had everything we needed and looked brand new. Eline and Take were great hosts and very helpful with everything. We will defiantly stay here again next time.   Loved the place! What's not to like? Don't understand the negative reviews. It is right on the canal, the view from my 2-d floor room was fantastic. It took me a little bit over an hour to get to the hotel from the airport - so easy to get to and to find. The room is very basic, but enough for a quick tour of the city (I stayed less than 24 - The host was great, he helped us with our bags and was really friendly. We actually had some changes to our room arrangements but we managed to come to an agreement regarding the payment so we appreciated the flexibility. Breakfast was normal, we didn't try everything though, but it was good enough for us. We got a room for 4 and it was spacious with wide windows which created a nice effect when the sun comes in during the day. We had a view of one of the canals which was lovely. The beds were

Tram stop to Amsterdam Central (number 4) just two mins away-saved taxi fares back to train station when leaving. Nice size apartments and supplied with coffee etc to get us started.
