You need a boarding pass to get to it...and maybe a reservation confirmation as we'll as it is located in the transit terminal. I simply needed a room to sleep for a few layover hours between flights, it was very convenient. - The location is excellent, access to the airport by moving walkways rather than another scheduled bus or taxi ride. I arrived early on the day before I was leaving The Netherlands and while I understandably couldn't get into my room before noon, the staff stored my bags so I could go explore Amsterdam. From the moment that the shuttle picked us up from the airport all the way to our check out, the staff, rooms, hotel were above and beyond our expectations. The proximity of the railway station in Hoofddorf, which was a short walk, was great as our flight the following day was an evening one so we enjoyed a canal trip and lunch in the city centre. Our bags were safe in the hotel left luggage room and we purchased a hotel bus ticket back
