We spent a really great time at the Riad Matham. The interior is hard to compare to anything else in Europe, which gives its charm, Thierry's hospitality and the staff's compliance and kindness was very comforting after a day full of adventures in Marrakech. The cuisine is worth trying out. I recommend you to contact Thierry about how to find the Riad, because its location is extremely hard to find, even with a map in your hands in an environment where people tend to offer their help easily for.
kaikki arvostelut » We cannot speak too highly of Riad Matham. The building has been beautifully refurbished and offers an oasis of calm amidst the chaotic bustle of the medina. Our room was well equipped and spotlessly clean, as was the whole Riad. Meals were served in the tranquil courtyard area - our breakfasts were wonderfully presented with a balanced choice and we enjoyed our first evening meal so much that we ended up eating at the Riad for three out of the four nights - authentic Moroccon cuisine, superbly. We only stayed here a night, but it was enough time to experience how special this place is. We were greeted with mint tea and pastries in a tranquil and beautiful courtyard. Our room was tastefully decorated and very comfortable. Breakfast was tasty and served in the courtyard. We also opted for the 3 course meal in the evening which was delicious! I would recommend doing this at least once during your stay. The location is great being only a few minutes away from the souk and less than 10 min. The experience at Riad Matham has been amazing. The riad itself is a traditional maroccan house, dislocated on several floors, as you'll be able to see several in all marrakech. What characterized this riad is: - a mixture of colors that transmit peace: white walls and refinely decorated wooden details - a minimalistic style that be perfect after a full immersion in the hectic marrakech - a unique hospitality offered by the owner and its team They have been great, as host and guides around the . Nicely decorated Riad and very friendly staff. It feels like being welcomed at a private home. We enjoyed a week of luxury and very much appreciated the contrast between the peaceful Riad and the chaotic Medina outside. Although it is not to difficult to find your way in the Medina, we definately recommend that you pay for an (a bit pricy) airport transfer, as it otherwise would take some effort to find the Riad first time. Also, don't miss the amazing food they will prepare for you on request!. It was an all around superb experience. The interior design of the Riad was what really hit us when we arrived. Coming from the hussle and the bussle of the busy streets of the medina, where in honest your senses are being overloaded. We stepped into this oasis of peace and visual harmony. The rooms spacious, stylish and clean. The staff, Thierry a very nice french fella helped us with everything we needed during our stay, booking excursions etc. Then there was the local girl Fati that with her. Everything was great about our stay at Riad Matham! The staff and the owner Thierry were absolutely great and very helpfull. We arrived at the airport and were picked up by the driver Thierry had arranged For us. He was very friendly and explained the different buildings and mosks allong the way. The walk to the hotel was quite difficult yo remember but after walking It Many times u get used to It! The diner at the Riad is fantastic and so is the view on the rooftop! Breakfast is very Nice and . Such a special place to stay! Riad Matham is perfectly located in a quiet part of the Northern Medina and yet only a 5 minute walk from the Souks & the hustle and bustle of a day in Marrakech. Beautifully decorated, lovely spacious rooms, comfy beds, fabulous bathrooms, immaculately clean & tranquil plus one of the best roof terraces in Marrakech. Thierry, Fati, Fatima and all the staff are terrific and nothing too much trouble, we can highly recommend dinner on your first evening too! . 5 star luxury oasis in the heart of the medina. Highly recommended, its also one of the highest rated riads in Marrakech on TripAdvisor (#11 out of over 1000) - Amazing roof terrace - theres a tower that gives you a view over the whole city. - Huge rooms, great shower. - Don't forget to try their meal options too, its 16 euro per person and by far the best food we had in Marrakech! - Thierry went out of his way to help us, and even organised a tour out to Ait Ben Haddou (recommended but a ve. They arranged airport transfers for us and advised us on places to visit and eat. Breakfast was delicious and served on the terrace every morning with stunning views of the medina and Atlas mountains. The location is very good, around a ten minute walk from Jeema El Fna. We will definitely stay here again. Thankyou Riad Matham for a lovely stay!. The facilities in general: the Riad is brilliant, gorgeous, well decorated. All areas are carefully clean. Once inside the Matham, you face completely silence, comfort and warm attention from all Riad' staff. I travelled by myself (note: I am a woman), and had all support at my arrival and check out. I do endorse all good comments, as they are true. This place is a must stay! The food is prepared by a high qualified and passionate cook. It must to have. This riad is so beautiful and comfortable (in both private and public areas). We had such a warm welcome and were so appreciative of the helpfulness and the kindness of the host, Thierry, and his staff. The location is excellent...in the Medina, and very close to Place Jemaa el fna and the souks. I would not hesitate to recommend this riad to everyone, and will definitely choose it the next time I return to Marrakech. Unbelievable value for money. We loved our stay at Riad Matham. Thierry (the French owner) renewed the place with great taste: the rooms are big, beautifully decorated, clean and comfy, the roof terrace is relaxing and quiet, and the hotel is only 10 mins walk from Jemaa el Fna. Breakfast is lovely and you can ask to have dinner cooked for you which I would highly recommend doing. If you feel like having wine or beer, those are also available :). Out of 5 riads that we staid in Marrakesh, Fes and Ouarzazate this was the one we liked most. They were all in the same price range (around 50 euro/night/double room). It is new and very well refurbished. The manager, Thierry, and all staff are very friendly and supportive offering any info a tourist may require. It is clean, comfortable and good value for money if you like the madness of the Medina. I recommend. We really enjoyed our stay in this beautifully renovated riad! Right in the middle of all the attractions. Stayed for three nights - had dinner at the riad twice which was excellent and 1 minute away is one of the best 10 restaurants in marrakesh. The hotel staff is really helpful. Thierry arranged us a taxi from the airport and went to pick us up close to the Riad - it's a bit hard to find it if you don't know exactly where you're going. The food at the Riad was really good - Fatima is a great cook. In general we thought it was a perfect place to relax after a long walking day through the busy streets of the medina. Khadija is a amazing cooker, Fatima is a wonderful to serve, and Fati amazing public relations and make us and to tha all riad one fantastic surprise, a dancing in the dinner !!!! 100% Clean, great location, beatiful building and very good decoration !!! Thierry was a great host and helped us navigate the crazy city of Marrakesh. The staff was very friendly, accommodations were clean and comfortable, and we plan to stay here again when we come back through Marrakesh. Not strictly related to the Riad: we tried to join the location by taxi, but at the car's stop a guide was already waiting for us. Even that we knew not to accept his help, sorrily he accompanied us to through an untraceable path whose end's stopped with a regrettable negotiation. It was completely our responsibility but we didn't manage it too well. So to avoid this mistake, ask Thierry about how to join or at least tell that you want to go Place Moukef, which is about 5 minutes from the Riad. Having to leave!. Nothing that I didn't like. The room on the ground floor has no noise privacy, so you can barely whisper without everyone in the courtyard hearing you, and its a bit noisy in the mornings if you want to sleep in. A little bit awkward when your toilet is 2 metres from other guests eating breakfast! Breakfast is good and really fresh but it'd be nice to have some savoury options (meat, eggs, tomato etc) as its all very sugary. There was absolutely nothing I did not like. A little difficult to find but this is a common feature for all riads in Morocco. Practice your French before arrival, this will you communicate with the french owner and staff:). Cannot think of anything .The only thing I would point out is that the taxi cannot drop you off right outside the riad and there is some walking involved. We asked on the day before for breakfast earlier in one day we're leaving early for an excursion and there was nobody there at the agreed time. Nothing at all, it was all perfect. Finding the Riad could be a challenge if you don't plan ahead. We took advantage of the taxi pick-up arranged by the Riad from the train station, and Tierry met us on arrival and guided us through the maze. Once there, he provided us with clear instructions for how to find our way around, so finding our way back was not difficult -- but I suggest not to try to find it on your own!. The only difficult is the acess, but only when we arrived. After that, using the GPS was very easy!. in fact... nothing. Walking through the Souk and the back alleys to get to the Riad. It is a little bit difficult to find it without getting lost. Having to wait quite a while to be collected from taxi on arrival. access is difficult to first timers. Location - nearly impossible to find... nothing.
