- Staff is excellent friendly and helpful - Damn clean and comfortable - Safe and secure Now I know why, Borneo Backpackers why so hard to book. The location is perfect. Place is clean. More bathroom and toilet. More importantly, you feel safe. I definitely will come again next time. Just that need to book earlier. A friendly and welcoming hostel which did the job for a stay in Kota Kinabalu. Basic rooms, wifi and kitchen facilities is all you need and the staff are reserved but super friendly and more than willing to help you out!.
