  This ryokan is certainly out of the way but between 2pm and 5pm you can have a free pickup from the Fujisan station about 15 min by car away. You can also go by the regular Fujikyu buses. It is a small ryokan and not very spectacular as far as ryokans go, but it certainly has a welcome and homey feel to it which easily makes it an excellent option... mitä ihmiset sanovat » to stay at. The dinner is top-notch and absolutely worth the price tag, make sure to order it. You can make private use of the inside bathroom in the - the host family was welcoming and friendly, the lady was even speaking english properly. great experience to be welcomed in a really traditional japenese-style accomodation (ryokan). food, freshly prepared by the host (and chef at the same time) was georgeous!

Ohashiso is a little off the beaten path, but it's in a nice, quiet area with an amazing view of Fuji-san when you walk out the front door.
