  Staff is very friendly and helpful. They have great maps and suggestions for sightseeing routes, tips specific to getting to locations from the ryokan, etc. Awesome extras like a lounge with coffee & tea, computer, soaps, toothbrushes, irons, alarm clocks, etc. all available if needed. Very friendly to advise us. Nice Kimono-trying for the ladies. A good place for a husband, wife and kids - of any age. Also maybe a group of travellers. Fridge in the room, separate (shared) fridge and kitchen with free tea and coffee.

  Overall convenient, easy to find, less than 10 mins walk from Kyoto Station, and less than 3 mins walk from nearby bus stop. Guest room is neat and tidy, as a messy person like me, I need extra care to keep things tidy. Guest room is very spacious for 2 person, and we are so surprised, I guess it is even enough for a family of 4. The common area like Toilets, Bathrooms are all fabulous, all in wonderful condition - Friendly atmosphere of both staff and guests. Takeshi provided helpful assistance in planning my touring of Kyoto sites and assisted me with my transportation and lodging reservations at my next stop. Guesthouse is conveniently located near the train station. It was comfortable and relatively quiet for a dorm room. Takeshi helped me find an English speaking church service for Sunday morning. Availability of a bicycle for local transportation was a welcomed benefit. Would stay there again
