We booked a non smoking room. When we arrived in the room it was smelting smoke. We got a new room right away which was a lot better. Although in Japan it seems difficult to get a really non smoking room. Especially in hotels which exist a little longer. However this hotel is perfect base for exploring Kumamoto and surrounding.

  Staff was very helpful and went out of their way to help me pack gifts I brought from home to ship to another prefecture in Japan. The location was very convenient, right next door to the train station. Kumamoto was a great place to stay with the hotel being right next to the station. We would have loved to stay an extra night as there is plenty to do in this lovely castle city. Rooms really comfortable and spacious. We will stay here again.

  Clean rooms, helpful staff, they always assisted with maps, good breakfast, I was there for a martial arts seminar and would stay there again. - The staff was very kind and helpful and the hotel was very close to a trolley stop and the taikukan. The internet in my room was wonderful!
