Fantastically located on Piazza Erbe, with wonderful and relaxing balcony overlooking the square where my 80 year old aunt could read her papers and relax with a coffee or drink while my kids and I explored. Perfect. Everyone in the hotel was so friendly and helpful. Very clean. Feel we were so lucky to have found it - and an easy walk to the Arena - and everywhere else!. I liked everything about the hotel Aurora. My room was perfect with a view of the piazza, the bathroom big enough and the breakfast out on the little terrace was just beautiful. The staff were friendly and very helpful and talk about location location location. The hotel is close to all the sites and some realyl great shopping.
kaikki arvostelut » This is a wonderful hotel tucked into a four hundred year old building in the most interesting section of Verona - a perfect getaway place for lovers or anyone else for that matter. Very knowledgeable and friendly staff on all shifts, great breakfast buffet, really comfortable beds, and the best showers in all Italy. The staff at this hotel were very personable especially Elena, the front desk receptionist. She is very friendly, helpful in freely giving advice, and very efficient. The woman in charge of the breakfast session also did commendably. The location is great for easy access to shopping and the sites of interest. Great location with a view of the beautiful Piazza Della Erbe. Spacious room, perfect temperature. Friendly, helpful and knowledgeable staff who went that extra kilometre(!). Loved the breakfast, good choice and full of unusual things eg stuffed apples, pannacotta. The staff were friendly and very gracious a lovely hotel in a great location right on the edge of the Piazza . Breakfast was excellent with a great deal of choice. Verona is delightful and the hotel and staff complimented our short time spent there beautifully. Hotel Aurora is a great little hotel right in the centre of Verona We've stayed there twice now, the location couldn't be better and the staff are wonderful. The Hotel Aurora is officially a two star hotel but its facilities, location and overall welcome should rate much more. Reasonable prices Friendly staff. For just a couple of hours during our stay there was a smell of cigarette smoke in the halls that wafted into our room. I suspect this was from a couple of workers who were resurrecting yet another room here and was hopefully a temporary situation. Thankfully this was very brief. No kettle for tea and coffee in the room, essential as far as I am concerned. Every thing was excellent. Our only problem was that the air con didn't work in our room. It was very hot every night and the air con didn't cool at all. A very strong (unpleasant) smell in the bedroom was also found by another guest we spoke to. We think this is a pungent air-freshener the chambermaid is using, and if so needs to stop using! The smell could be removed by leaving windows and door open for 20 minutes, but whatever the cleaner is using it isnt necessary!! Room very clean, seemed recently re-decorated, and generally much better than a lot of central city hotels. Excellent shower. Tea and coffee making facilities in the room might have been nice but appreciate this is not common in Europe. nothing at all. Rooms typically "smallish" as standard in Europe, but adequate. Restaurant was out of all red wines when we wanted some on the terrazzo. Nothing. Absolutely nothing !. They provide ashtrays which seems to encourage some guests to smoke. The have ladder on the first floor where was hard go with laggage. Lift wasnt working, space a bit tight but too be expected for city centre Verona. Nothing. The room is a bit small To get to the lobby you have to climb some stairs, which is difficult if you are carrying heavy suitcases. Extremely small and cramp, especially the bath room though it was cleverly decorated to minimize the tiny size. Rooms are quite small and there is no lobby. I liked everything. No complaints. The breakfast could have been better with more fresh bread and maybe a little hot food. Nothing. Noisy at night. Should have closed shutters but not used to this. Nothing! Everything was perfect!. Room very small. Shower recess tiny and difficult to use.j. Rooms cramped. Breakfast was pretty basic!. They use very stinky chemicals for room cleaning be ready for unpleasant smell).
