  We travel frequently and are discerning about facilities, however I have to say that this is probably the best hotel we have ever stayed in, except for a few minor problems due to the time of year, immediately after the New Year. - This is the loveliest hotel I have ever stayed in.   Hotel Continental was beautiful! The lobby and public areas were first class and the room was beautiful as well. The bathroom was very big especially for European standards. They had a nightly turn-down service which was so nice and the staff was so friendly and helpful. The location could not be better. We actually walked from - Our room was lovely with the sea view balcony. And it was not just any sea view, it was the fantastic blue Mediterranean with Vesuvius. One could have gazed it 24/7! The staff was incredibly friendly everywhere: reception, restaurant, bar, the cleaning ladies. Always with a big smile and a friendly comment. The hotel itself is lovely with its feeling of the old days but updated for today. Its location could not have been better with a view to dream of and a short way to everywhere in Sorrent

Prior to our arrival they arranged a private van tour of the Amalfi Coast for our group of 8. The rooms were extremely clean. The breakfast was good and the view from the 5th floor breakfast room is stunning, right at Vesuvius. All the rooms have a balcony with a view. The rooftop pool is beautiful. Free shuttle. Rooms were as pictured on website

  The building itself and the blue harmony, the wonderful garden, the huge swimming pool with salted water, the beach, the delicious eating and last but not least the quality of service - The views across the bay were excellent. Staff were very courteous. The lunch at the beach restaurant was the best that I had during my whole 2 week stay in Italy!

  I had booked the hotel online and didn't really know what to expect. The staff was outstanding in every way. They greeted us warmly and made us feel as if we had just come home. They offered to help make arrangements for tours and gave great recommendations for restaurants. If we needed anything they were there to assist us.   The location is fantastic and the staff was more than helpful. Also, the breakfast/brunch is very good. - We choose the panoramic view with large balcony and while it was more expensive than a standard room, it have us a huge balcony which had sun all day long with some shade. Lovely luxury.
