We travelled with another couple so this was like sharing an apartment. Giuseppina was a wonderful host helping us with suggestions on whereto eat, (all of which we loved) even though she had little English. Son Giuseppe carried our bags up the 3 flights of stairs and down again on our departure. Wonderful breakfast. Would absolutely recommend.

We spent two nights in the hotel and we loved it! The staff is super friendly and speak good English. Before leaving they helped us choosing next destinations in Sicily! Overall we had a nice 5 day's stay at the hotel. The Island is still pretty and unspoilt and there are some small rocky beaches. Positive is the friendly staff and serving a good breakfast. Also positive is the location with sea view and a large swimming pool area. -

Owner is very friendly, caring, educated and hospitable.

Very eclectic and modern design, the room was very comfortable with lots of storage space and high end shower and bath soaps. The location is rural and very peaceful, the grounds are beautiful, the breakfast was a delicious mix of local dishes and fresh fruit. The lady in charge was very graceful and helpful. I would describe the Balarte as the Gugenheim in the middle on the Scicilian countryside !
