We traveled to Cala Gonone as a young couple and found Residence Biriola very easy to find. Upon arriving we were greeted by Bruno, the elder statesman of the residence, who was quite simply charming. He took us around, showed us the garden at the back and told us we could help ourselves to the fresh herbs and chillis. when we went there, a big event was about to start, which obliged them to move us to one of their sister hotels. All the staff were really friendly and helpful.
The location of the hotel is really perfect (A few minutes drive from porto cervo) .
Make sure you rent a car while you are staying there,so that you can visit other beaches and places. This doesn't have anything to do with the location of the hotel, where ever you go in Sardinia you need to rent a car.

We appreciated the perfect balance of professionalism and friendliness of all the staff. They kept going the extra mile, always carrying a smile to make us feel welcome.
The room was very well appointed, clean and comfortable.
However, the highlight of our stay was the superb dining experience combining well presented delicious Sardinian specialties with classy service in a pleasant atmosphere.
I almost forgot, the hotel is excellently located, right on the white sand beach.

Despite of its location, the hotel is trying hard to be posh and contemporary and somehow creates its ambient separate from the outside world. It was convenient to have a restaurant attached - it could be too posh in a sense though. - The hotel is beautiful and decorated with a lot of taste. The bathroom is superb.
