  Well situated, a lovely 15 min walk into town. Beach 8 mins down the hill. Clean, simple, effective. We hired a car (40E pd) to explore the island. Perfect size to do that. - Friendly and helpful reception staff, handy for beach and town by foot - albeit a 20 minute walk is good for us.

  We left the guys at home and did a sister trip across Italy, which commenced in Naples. This classy five star hotel was a fabulous way to deal with jet lag! We had a superb meal at the Hotel - The Grande Hotel Vesuvio is truly grand! It is an elegant top of the line hotel with a friendly and helpful staff. We were upgraded to a suite upon arrival and had two large rooms beautifully furnished. They supply their guests with comfy terry robes and slippers and nice toiletries. Wi fi was free. The rooms are kept very clean also. We had a balcony on the front of the hotel and looked out on the waterfront with its boats, a castle that is lit at night, and Vesuvius looming in the distance. T

Location - close to the beach, where you can find good restaurants. Two thermal pools (small but quite enough taking into account size of the hotel) - one is indoor and another is partly with roof - we could bathing regardless of weather.

  The rooms were big and bright. The staff at the desk were friendly and had good English. The location could not have been any better- beside lovely restaurants, across from the marina.   Wonderful place to stay, quiet, beautifil and relaxing. 1) Good location, close to a bus stop, beaches and villages (10 min walk) and St Angelo is the most beautiful place on the island.
