Very nice hotel just a few minutes from the cathedral complex of Pisa, in the heart of the university district, surrounded by plenty of restaurants, food shops and a bus stop served by the airport as well as a train station bus. The manager was very friendly and helpful with suggestions about things to do and places to eat. Our room had a refrigerator that came in handy as well as a bathroom that had a bidet and shower. Everything was clean and in good working order. I would definitely return.
kaikki arvostelut » All in all, had a nice stay at this hotel, the room was spacious and clean, the staff was friendly and resourceful and gave us a lot of suggestions on local authentic restaurants that are good for quality and price. Location is prime, situated in between the Pisa old town and the Leaning Tower (5-10 mins walk to each). Direct bus service runs to and from the train station/ airport just 5 minutes down the road. I can highly recommend this hotel. Although one shouldn't expect a luxury entrance or other star-hotel-stuff, it was our top choice during our trip in Italy (including another hotel in Pisa). The owner (and her parents) made us feel very welcome. The rooms (and common areas) are very large and have a personal touch. They are modern, have decent beds and a good bathroom. Excellent value for money. Staff were so helpful in pointing out where was good to go to - not touristy things either which was perfect coming from centre of Florence before. Location was perfect - close to the old university, with bars, music, restaurants (but silent at night for sleeping) and the room was beautiful and ideal for a short stay. Many Thanks :). Fantastic hotel - recently refurbished to a really nice standard. The staff were very friendly and helpful - were fine about us leaving our bags there on our last day before we went to the airport. The location is great - right in the middle of the old town and about a 5 minute walk from the Tower. you have to go up the stairs to first floor but when we got out of the taxi, suddenly the big door opened and we were welcomed downstairs by Francesca. we stayed for one week instead of 2 days. It really felt like home. definitely return to tuscany and galileo. Our stay at Hotel Galileo was perfect. Very close to the Tower and a lot of good restaurants. The hotel is brand new, so all the facilties and the bed were brand new and comfortable. We would definitely recommand this place to other travellers. Value for money!. A new family-run hotel in the street leading directly to Leaning tower. Nice location, it takes about 7 minutes walk to get to the Lean tower and the Miracle square. Railway station is located 20 mins by foots. The rooms are big. Charming, friendly, good location. Piza is good. Two major problem - 1. the noise; and 2. the heat. 1. Lack of double-glazed window, the hotel is situated just off a main road, so we were all woken early in the morning by the noise of motor bikes..buses..etc, which were pretty load. 2. we visited in July, and sleeping in the heat without air-conditioning was simply unbearable, at least for us. Windows could be open wide, however, there was no lock on the window and the hotel is situated on the first floor. Nothing in particular. Nothing - though the wifi was a bit patchy in the rooms, but not a big deal at all. Not the hotel's fault, but the beautiful large windows in the room meant some morning traffic noise came through. A bit noisy in the morning. no air-conditioning. it might get quite hot during summer. but it provides a fan so it was just ok for us during the night. Only minor things: Walls a bit bare, hard towels, only one bedside lamp in triple room. No airconditioning. But we did not find the room too warm at night. We kept the window ajar so we had some noise coming in from street. A bit too much light in the room and no air conditioning, so it was a bit hot during the night (but there was a fan). Would have love AC! but we had a fan that worked!. Nothing but if you have restricted mobility the 29 stairs to the reception and hotel may be an issue. A extra mirror in our room other than the only one in en suite, would have been nice. Large single windows are not preventing to hear noise from the street - but on other hand we knew we are visiting a city . The weather was extremally hot and, unfortunately, in my bedroom I didn't find a fan. But that was the only thing that I could change. Nothing . Breakfast would be nice but not really a criticism. TV in the room was not working. I called the receptionist and explained the problem but she didn't bother at all to fix the issue. Some noise from the street, but that's inevitable for this location and tolerable. A little hard to find as the outside wouldn't lead one to believe there is a hotel inside! not accessible. Some of the rooms are noisy during the night and there is no aircondition. Mosquitos. No air conditioning. No air conditioner, wi-fi. The room on the front road was noisy in the morning. Toilet would not flush most times. The staff do not know English well, difficult to communicate, but still kind. very noisy!no ac no breakfast!.
