  Location was spectacular at the top of Stelvio Pass (pse dello Stelvio). Julia and David (his father built the place) were welcoming and very nice, and the food was traditional of the area and very good. Yes, you have to hike up the hill for 10 minutes, but that is part of the charm.   My girlfriend and I stayed at the Hotel Passo Stelvio as were visiting to do some summer skiing on the glacier. The lady hotel owner / manager was very helpful and accommodating. We were also giving a voucher so we got a discount on the ski lift passes. The food in the hotel was very good.   A hotel that really gave full value for money. A location that could take your breath away in the middle of Stelvio Pass, and when we also got to experience it in brilliant sunshine, the experience could not be better. Breakfast the next morning was also excellent. We can recommend this hotel highly. - Hotel was outstanding, staff was excellent. Food was outstanding. Glacier is within walking distance. If you like to drive crazy roads this is the one, I take every mountain pass I can when I am here and this one rates on top three out of all the passes, poor rental car. I will visit this hotel again.
