Novella House is renovated 1800s apartment house with original frescos on the ceilings. It is impossible to roll your luggage into the hotel but fortunately the owner took our bags up into the room (there is a small lift). Our room was spacious with a decent bed; there was a sitting area for tea and coffee, but the bathroom was so tiny, it had a foldaway shower. The room itself is quiet but outside the window you have the typical Italian street noise, maybe more so as there is a boarding house

And the jacuzzi was so relaxing after days filled with walking. If you're debating whether or not to spend extra money on the room with the jacuzzi - do it!

Excellent position. Easy to find, close to the train/bus station and
just 1 minute walk from the Duomo. Great terrace view, in summer should
be more useful as it rained during our stay in Florence the woman at the
reception was very kind and helpful. She let us leave the luggage and
arranged our check-in even if we weren't able to meet her as
arrived. After all for such a price and a strategic position it's a
really good choice for those who care about the money

Excellent position, close to station. Friendly, helpful staff. This is an older place, but very comfortable and cheerful room, and quiet (back room). Good shower. We were so happy that that there was a lift! Free Wi-Fi. If you are leaving early, make sure you settle your bill the night before! We would like to stay here again.
