I studied lots of B&Bs and spent weeks reading various reviews. The
Relais Casa Della Fornarina exceeded our expectations. Large and quiet
room. Very clean. Vouchers for a full American breakfast which we
didn't get at any other B&B we stayed at. Walking distance to
everything in Trastevere. Just don't judge a book by it's cover
and how it looks from the outside. A+++ in my book.

The welcome and assistance from Umberto and Vincenzo was second to none. The room was large, comfortable and spotlessly clean. Towels changed after two days. The position was ideal with a tram stop just outside, although it is possible to walk to the centre. Trastevere has a good selection of, reasonably priced, bars and restaurants and some delightful lanes to stroll through.

We didn't need to get a taxi during our stay, only back to the bus station on the day we were leaving.
It's all about location, location, location!!!!! Right in the centre of Rome you couldn't get much better. Fabiana is also a great help. Stay here definitely.

We stayed in the Presidential suite, so our frame for description starts
out pretty positive! First off, the location was perfect. From the
Piazza del Gesu you can walk everywhere on your tourist map. The only
time we cabbed was to go back and forth to the Vatican. The service was
excellent. We had some difficulty with the guy at the desk and no
English, but it just added to the charm of knowing you were in Italy.
The breakfast was enormous and catered to gluten free (as does everyone
in Rome)

very attentive a curious! Read some other reviews about the noise.. The
place is so centrally located so there was some noise but the sound-
proof windows blocked nearly all if the ground noise. The owners even
set up transfer to the airport that came early. I have stayed in Rome at
3 other places and this was the best for the combo of clean, value, and

The location was excellent. It is a quiet, clean and comfortable accommodation with air con and a small refrigerator in in the room. Situated on the first floor of a block of apartments with a lot of small family run restaurants a few paces in each direction. A few minutes walk frm the main bus routes. The location of Dolce Vita is perfect! You are right near the Forum, Colosseum, Trevi Fountain, Pantheon and Spanish Steps! There are many restaurants, cafes and a supermarket nearby. Taxis and buses very close too. The apartment was roomy enough for the 4 of us and although the kitchen facilities were fairly basic it was fine for our 5 day stay.
