  Loved having breakfast delivered to our room at a time that we specified. It was quiet, within walking distance to all major sites and all staff was great but you would be hard pressed to find anyone more helpful than Rosanna. We would definitely stay there again without even looking elsewhere. - This is somewhat a boutique hotel, and not for the budget traveller, but ... what a fantastic location. And the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful with suggestions of what to do and where to go. Giulia (the owner) did a soft sell on me for her custom-made jewelry, and won me over. My wife was very happy with the ear rings. Thanks! Though no tea/coffee making in room, just had to ask and espresso was delivered, gratis. A nice touch.

  This hotel is more like the size of a B&B, with 4 rooms and a lobby in the middle, as part of a larger building. The rooms are great. Very modern and large, with comfortable beds. This hotel is only 2-3 blocks from the coliseum, as well as the colosseo metro stop. My colleagues and I have been using it as the "base camp" for our after work walks, as most of Rome's interesting places are at arms length, more so if you enjoy a walk after a long work day. You don't feel like a tourist, but living like the current Romans do. The building is actually an apartment building. The room was rather big for the center of Rome and newly renovated.   I adored this hotel. From the moment we booked we received conformation emails from the owners, and then nearer the time, further emails to check if we required a taxi -- which we did and everything was booked and made simple for us. Nothing appeared to be too much trouble. The room was pretty classic, it won't blow your mind but lets be honest -- if you're - The staff at Locanda Colossea was excellent. They were extremely helpful, and it was great to actually have someone at the front desk during the day. Our room was very comfortable, and the staff even gave us a bottle of wine from the family vineyard (which was a very good wine!).
