  Our room was large, elegantly decorated to reflect the Renaissance period, including a beautifully painted and lighted ceiling, and filled with antiques and marble tiling. We felt very luxurious! Bed was very comfortable and everything was very clean. We were within easy walking distance of the Duomo and other major sights and restaurants. Definitely would stay here agai - This B&B is in a renovated Terrace Mansion on the 1st Floor up the stairs. the rooms are nice with marble floors, cable TV. best time to have a shower is early morning or late afternoon/evening as hot water can run out during checkout times! its a nice place to stay though as just a short walk to the big churches and the Uffizi gallery. Make sure you ring in advance before you arrive so the owner can meet you there with the key - we had to wait for him to arrive for 15 mins to let us in.

  I am totally satisfied with this booking (the hardware, the service, location, the pricing). I should say this is the best hotel I've ever lived during the past 20 days vacation in Italy and Greece. Unlike the rooms of most hotels in European tourist cities, the room offered by this hotel is quite spacious. I am a person very sensitive to noise at night, it's not easy - The strongest points of this hotel are the owners/staff and the location, and there are quite a few other nice things about it. Luciana and Luciano, the brother and sister who own/run(?) the place, are lovely, lovely people, kind and most helpful. They're also very quick to respond to emails. The location is great, if a bit hard to find (if you're relying on GoogleMaps, that is -- get a REAL map!). It's a few meters away from Piazza di Signoria (which is right next to the Galleria Uffizi) and

  Casa Pucci is a short 10 min walk to Ponte Vecchio bridge. There were a few restaurants and sights close by but mainly you walk across the river. No big deal. Our room was nice and big with a fireplace and table and chairs. The breakfast was good and was enjoyable on the outside deck. Her English is limited but we still managed to get good dinner recommendations, a taxi our last day and she even did some - On top of the excellent location, friendly and helpful owners, and great price, the beds here were easily the most comfortable we found throughout our Italian travels. There is a laundromat just across the street, making this a great place to stay if you are in the middle of a long journey. If you stay here, be sure to eat at Vivanda, which is on the same street: top-notch organic cuisine.
