The rooms were beautifully decorated and the beds were comfortable. It was conveniently located on a busy, famous square, which was magnificent (and great fun) to overlook, but yet so quiet when the windows were closed. The staff was helpful and kind. The kitchen was fully stocked with necessarily supplies. Everything about this place was wonderful. Everything. The room was huge for the price, and in a perfect, central location. Giovanna might be the nicest person I have ever met in my life. Very accommodating staff, made us feel right at home. They really went above and beyond what was expected. I will absolutely recommend this place to everyone I know who is planning a trip to Florence.

The location could not have been more perfect, and the apartment was very clean, very comfortable, beautifully decorated and located - with a fantastic view looking across to the Uffizi gallery, and the plazza de signori. We will definitely be returning to this place in the future!. Absolutely charming place. The staff was fantastic, the location phenomenal. The room was beautiful, spotlessly clean, everything was within walking distance, and the view out our window was a living history lesson...a very memorable experience. I would stay again in a heartbeat. (Is it too soon to go back?). our favorite hotel of our trip. the decorating was first class and the age and location were perfect. Our host was amazingly helpful and had great food suggestions as well as helping us to get our car unbooted! A definite go again. We have already been in many hotels in Europe. It is right on the square of Palazzo Vecchio, so it is just a few steps from the Uffizi Gallery and the Ponte Vecchio and just 3 minutes walk from the Duomo.The atmosphere is also very good and the staff is helpful. Though the Casa del Garbo is over 600 years old, it's in a good shape.n/a. a distance between hotel and railway station.The suite has two rooms. In the smaller one the bed is quite small and the bed clothing is even smaller. Furthermore we were wondering when the staff would clean the room. And they did not. So for four or five days it was not taken care of and they gave new things only if you asked for them, e.g. towel, toilet paper, kleenex, etc.
