  We stayed in Casa Rossa, it was wonderful. We were almost put off from booking this place due to some of the negative comments posted here concerning the distance from the main hotel, lack of an elevator, the flights of stairs or room size. None of these are an issue for able bodied people. We stayed in room #14 which is up two flights of level, e... mitä ihmiset sanovat » ven and wide stairs which are easily negotiated even with luggage. The room was a good size with adequate space for two large bags and their contents - We stayed in the apartment annex which was very cosy.The staff were extremely helpful and could not do enough for you.Breakfast was nice and the location was wonderful.Their dinner menu was great and value for money. I could reccommend this hotel

  We loved everything about this hotel...from the ride up the two lifts, to our balcony overlooking the sea, and the delicious dinner and great breakfasts which were seved with a beautiful view of Lake Como. The hotel was situated within walking distance to Varenna and we really enjoyed the walk along the water. The breakfast terrace also provides panoramic lake views. The room was clean & comfortable with safe and mini bar. Free wi-fi is also included. This is a beautiful property.

  Lovely little hotel. Super location directly on Varenna's stunning central piazza. Lake views from the room at the top. Easy walk to the lake, the ferry boats and all restaurants. Francesco & Enzo were just wonderful, very friendly and extremely helpful. Room was clean, bed very comfortable.   Fantastic location, beautiful well kept family house (working art studio), interior designed with artistic paintings on canvas and ceramic tiles by Laura (the owner). The accommodation was clean, comfortable, private with a peaceful relaxing atmosphere. In Lierna there is a fab gelateria (one of the best artigianale pistacchio ice cre - Laura is so considerate with golden heart. She emailed us to confirm our arrival time. It's such a beatiful house with fashion design by Laura herself. Especially The Como lake view in the kitchen. Laura is a talented interior design artist. I was impressed a lot by her work pieces at home. She is also very helpful when we asked about the places to go in Italy. This is the first time we stay in BnB. We are very satisfied about this experience.
