Service of Owner is extremely kind and warm. The VIlla is full of history with furniture from centuries ago, and glass art work from Murano. For children visitors, the small farm in the garden is good fun. They have special species of Goats, only found in Sicily. Breakfast was served in the terrace with a stunning view of the valley. For family visitors, the KING BAR restaurant, just 5 minutes by car, is highly recommended for local food(recommended by owner of Villa Diana). Packed with fami.
kaikki arvostelut » We stayed in a very spacios family room in this caracter house just outside Favara, whcih is only a 10 minute drive away from the Valley of the Temples. The owner is most gratious and did everything possible to ensure a memorable stay for us and other guests. A family run Italian restaurant he recommended in Favara (King Bar) was very authentic and non-touristy. The house is spotlessly clean and breakfast which is served on a terrace is absolutely fantastic.Kids loved to play with the two dogs,. Two brilliant things: our was fantastic; secondly, his breakfast was one of the best I'ver ever eaten. No praise is high enough for the care and concern for the guest as it was here. Villa D is a lovely house with big rooms (and a very large bathroom in our case) and the atmosphere is really terrific, especially in the breakfast room with classical music gently wafting in from the house stereo. All in all, fantastic. We had a wonderful stay at the Villa Diana with its charming and helpful host Dario. We loved our big room full of light and its big terrace overlooking the countryside. Breakfast was delicious, specially the almond cookies. It was most interesting to listen to Dario telling about the history of the house and his family. We would recommend the Villa Diana without hesitation. The two sisters Irene and Brigitta. A huge room with lovely country views. A bathroom straight out of the '70's' but immaculate. Room was spacious, even with the four of us. Huge balcony with comfy seats. Breakfast is fine, not copious but enough choice to get you started for a day of sightseeing. There is plenty of parking space. Huge rooms with stunning views. Dario serves up an incredible breakfast with many very special items. His cannoli were the best we tasted in our 4 weeks in Sicily. Hugo and Lola (their dogs) also make a very friendly welcoming committee. Set in the beautiful countryside of Sicily in an elegant house. Owner is friendly and extremely helpful. He tracked us down, personally, at a nearby attraction to return an item we had left in the room . A model of Sicilian hospitality. Large rooms, clean, breakfast to die for. Exceptional care take by staff. Nice views over countryside. Near temple sites and avoiding traffic, a lot of nearby countryside has been despoiled bu development, this area is still attractive. The B&B is installed in the former family´s residence and is very well adapted for that. There is even a small lift to facilitate moving luggage to the second floor. Views are wonderful and the rooms are very large and are prepare to hold 4 people. Rooms are decorated with details that makes you think you are in a friend´s house. Look at GPS and Map carefully before heading there. It is a bit out of the way, but that is also a beauty of it. Top shower head in the family room was not working (we used the hand held, which was fine). Niente. Bathroom a bit outdated, but was big and everything worked fine. Nothing at all. Nothing at all, you have to drive to dinner but the host has good recommendations for nearby restaurants. We liked everything. We liked everything but if we had be en given a room facing the road we would have been disappointed with no view. Water not quite hot enough in bathroom but this was the best place we stayed in Sicily. Had to drive a distance each night for evening meal. Nothing to dislike. nothing. It was so difficult to find the hotel that the owner had to pick us up where we were somewhere in Agrigento. It would be easier if the B&B address mentioned Favara (and not Agrigento) and also included the name of the road and not just SS...km.... (dots are mine for the road and exact location).
