  Fantastic hotel, beautiful grounds and friendly staff. A lively pub also makes a great change from a stuffy hotel bar. Spa facilities excellent although treatments a bit pricey - overall this hotel far exceeded our expectations. - Stayed at the hotel cause of family wedding.   This is the second time staying at this hotel and again, I didn't get the chance to use the Spa Facilities. This time my stay was only for 1 night as I was busy visiting Family. I would definately stay here again and next time I will ensure I give the Spa ago. Room was very comfortable and the staff were very friendly and helpful.   I loved the facilities, pool sauna gym etc. We booked an evening meal in the resturant were the food and service was of the highest standard.   The location was excelllent. The leisure facilities were brilliant. Most unexpected - usually a central location does not have leisure facilities as well. It was also good that breakfast was served until 11.00am at weekends. - Holiday Inn was easy to get to and we were received very well by courteous and competent staff.
