The Sunrise Lodge B&B was so fantastic. It exceeded all of our expectations. Paeder and his wife were so wonderful! The room was cozy and extremely comfortable. The powerful shower was especially wonderful after traveling for close to 36 hours. In the morning, breakfast was delicious and aesthetically pleasing with a lovely formal place setting. The service, facilities and breakfast were marvellous and the location on Galway Bay and walking distance to Galway City shops and restaurants was perfect. I mistakenly left an item of clothing in the cupboard and the proprietors were kind enough to parcel it up and post it at their expense (which I could not in all fairness accept) speedily to us in Australia.
While only an overnight stay we were made to feel very welcome and appreciated to advice we received on the local attractions and the next part of our trip. The breakfast was plentiful and very well presented.
There are plenty of restaurants, cafes and bars within short walking distance. We had a very attractive seaside view from our room.
The Sunrise Lodge actually holds the promise of its name. We were lucky and got a room with an ocean view and could watch the sunrise over the ocean.
The B&B is a bit outside of the city centre but allows for a beautiful stroll along the sea.
The host was very nice and accommodated all of our requests. We couldn't have asked for more.
Well positioned in a lovely line of coast, with a helpful, gracious and
well informed host, Peadar, and a shortish walk into Galway town. Also a
good gateway to places such as Roundstone etc. Also like having morning
news radio in the breakfast room. Decent breakie, even for a vego not
wanting bacon, sausage and Irish 'pudding'.
Sunrise Lodge was scrupulously clean and very well appointed on the sea front. The welcome we received was excellent, nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was excellent. I would recommend this location to anyone who wants a good value, friendly, comfortable place to stay while in Salt hill, Galway.
Very friendly and personal service. Room and house very clean. Breakfast excellent, no waiting even though it was a full house, and good choice of breakfast foods.
Tea and coffee service in room. Location also good and only a 20 minutes walk from Galway centre.
The location was wonderful, an easy walk to town, no time at all. Being just out of town the stay was quiet and had a beach view. Paddy and Joan were classy and generous hosts. Couldn't ask for more. Breakfast was superb!.
I liked everything about the Sunrise B&B. The inn keepers were very friendly and extremely helpful. Great breakfast every morning, the promenade, the short walk to many excellent restaurants. Would stay there again.
We loved this bed and breakfast, Peter was great and very knowledgable. It was clean and beautiful. Right across from the water, breakfast was good and placed on beautiful bone china. I wish we could of stayed longer.

Liked everything about Sunrise Lodge very helpful, breakfast very good, rooms very very clean it was a very enjoyable weekend. Would definately go back again and would reccomend it to anyone.
Very nice and good B&B to stay for a trip to Galway or the area. We had a nice room (with seaview, because we stayed for at least 3 nights) and the service and breakfast was excellent!!.
This B&B was very clean and comfortable. The scones were delicious! We liked being able to walk into the city in just a few minutes. The hosts were very friendly and helpful.

Well, one can hardly expect Australian temperatures in Ireland in late
Autumn. Regret that we could not linger longer. Being a bath fancier, I
missed a hot tub, having only a shower 'tardis', but that seemed
to be the norm for b & Bs.
Husband is tall fellow and thought shower cubicle was bit on the small side. I didn't have that problem myself.

Disappointing view over neighbours' houses. No provision for smokers who have to stand outside in the road. Adding a 1% surcharge for the use of a card was mean.These are minor niggles and did not spoil our stay.
