We were ataying in the hotel for a friend s wedding & actually thought it was one of the nicest places I've stayed in. I really worry about places I stay in noting being clean enough but it wasa spotless. Staff were really attentive, approachable, helpful & friendly. Food both the 5corse meal at the wedding & breakfast next morning was delicious. I will be back to stay again & definitely use the hott tub & leisure facilities.

We stayed for 2 nights, the first night we ate in the restaurant, the food was delicious and the 2nd night we had bar food and that was just as good. The staff were all really lovely. Loved the gardens, walks, drive to Carlingford, service in bar, a young waiter recommended a sandwich and coffee, served it with an unasked for glass of water,which was very welcome. Lovely hotel.Rooms were large and bed very comfortable.Food in Bar was excellent and breakfast was really good too.A very pleasant stay made nicer by friendly staff. Night porter was very friendly & took the time to sit & talk after adding fuel to a lovely open fire. The sense of space, especially in the bedrooms. The staff..excellent. The grounds, trees, the rose garden. stag event - hospitality was terrific, good second to none - standard of hotel excellent thank you. The hotel is situated in beautiful surroundings and is very welcoming, relaxing place to stay. I loved the staff, the exterior "curb appeal" of the hotel, and the location. Pool, sauna and big clean room in a really quiet place. Exceptionally clean hotel, very friendly staff. Food was plentiful & very tasty. A welcoming hotel with friendly staff. The setting. Rooms, staff,. beautiful location, grounds are lovely, hotel very nicely decorated. Surrounds. location. Nothing at all. I thought with today's deals going on everywhere that it was a bit on the pricey side, We paid €270.00 for 2 nights B&B When most places are offering an evening meal with cheaper rates and these are 4 star hotels too. Other than that I would stay again if I was to visit Dundalk in the future. Service in restaurants. Health club, Dundalk. Do not understand why you consider Dundalk a destination when Carlingford is beautiful. Very unhappy that I was charged for newspapers; after paying a premium rate of e160 / night!. the weather lolo. No dislikes to report. I thought the room fixtures - especially the actual bedroom (not including the bathroom) - were a little dated. Nothing. Decor in rooms in newer wing dated and need of modernization in keeping with other 4 star rated hotels! Old house beautiful!!. Breakfast, pool closing time. staff in restaurant and pub are very very poor and sloppy. Did not even clean off previous peoples dishes at breakfast, and of couse did not clean table.
