The friendliness of the front door staff - very welcoming. The restaurant/coffee house staff were exceedingly accommodative to our requests. The interior decor through out the hotel are pleasing to the eyes with warm colours. The breakfast is excellent - we thought it was one of the best hotel breakfast that we've had. Really nice stuff, good breakfast, their restaurant near by is very good and cheap. They have a small garden, which is so zen, comparing to busy jogja. If you're in a hurry take their driver to borobadur. To prambanan and/or jl malioboro take local bus-it's cheap and they tell you where to change bus.

This is a very nice, old and atmospheric hotel. Almost like walking in a museum, we liked it a lot. The breakfast is the best we ever had in a Indonesian hotel, with lots of Western and Asian food, including a "jamu" woman for traditional medicine.
Rooms are not as modern as in a new hotel, but they are kept clean and beds are comfortable.
Location it is about 1 km from railway station. Cheap Airport bus stops next door. There is a minimart nearby.
